We are a small, friendly, general accountancy practices, specialising in small family businesses. 

We don't try to be "all things to all men" but instead concentrate our knowledge and resources on the issues facing small family businesses, such as:-

We have a very diverse mix of clients, including consultants, medical practitioners, retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, guest houses, trades (decorators, plumbers, joiners, builders, electricians), garages, photographers, independent financial advisers, children's nursery, civil engineering, etc.

Our typical client operates as a UK based sole trader, partnership or private limited company.  We are well placed to serve clients in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire area, from our office within sight of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District hills!   Depending upon the type and size of your business, you may not need to physically meet your accountant, so we have many clients throughout the UK who simply post/email their accounting records to us, or who use web-based on line accounting systems.

We are committed to providing the highest quality, personal, professional service to all our clients.  We don't subcontract any work overseas, we won't fob you off with trainee, unqualified or inexperienced staff, instead we guarantee that the principle, Philip Hoyle, a chartered certified accountant with over 25 years experience, will personally undertake all complex and technical services, will be the principle point of contact, and will remain responsible for all clients' accountancy and tax services that we provide.  With us you won't have to tell different staff the same thing time and time again, there won't be a different auditor to deal with each year, and you will never have to suffer call centres!

As for our charges, we aim to be competitively priced, as we don't have an army of staff and posh offices to pay for!  We are happy to provide our services for fixed prices, or under retainer packages, payable monthly by standing order or on "per hour" basis, depending upon the services you need and the size/type of your business.

As we are only a small practice and as we pride ourselves in providing a personal service, there is obviously a limit to the number of clients we can take on, and we will only accept a new client once we are certain that we have the skills and experience they require, and that there will be a mutually beneficial, long term, working relationship between us.  If we think that we're not the right firm for you, we'll tell you and point you in the right direction!  Unfortunately, our practice is not currently able to offer statutory audit services to larger limited companies, services to charities or limited liability partnerships, nor offer any services to individuals or businesses based or operating outside the U.K. due to the specialist nature of such services.
